Our mission.

Long Island Gay Men's Chorus is a voluntary, not-for-profit, community-based organization of gay men and their supporters who strive to entertain diverse audiences with high-quality male choral performances in order to affirm the contributions — and promote a positive image — of the gay community. We have achieved 501(c)(3) status as a not-for-profit corporation, and all donations to the Chorus are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Our vision.

Building on a history of artistry, involvement, and pride, LIGMC fulfills its mission by 1) affirming the contributions and promoting a positive image of the gay community through music; 2) presenting innovative programming of the highest quality; 3) encouraging cooperation within our diverse community, both locally and nationally; 4) representing the GLBT community as a viable participant in the region's cultural life; and 5) maintaining a financially sound organization to support its goals.
